Communication

Newsletters will be issued every week. These will contain diary dates, details of forthcoming events and other important information. Copies of the newsletter are posted on our school website and are sent via email to parents who have requested this. If you would like to register your email address to receive a copy of the newsletter as soon as it is published, please click here.

Text messaging is used for informal communications and whole-school emergency communications, e.g. closures due to snow. Please ensure we are kept informed of any change in mobile number.

Children’s Planners can be used to communicate with your child’s class teacher. Older children should be prompted to make teachers aware that there is a message from home.

Letters may be sent home from time to time with additional information not included on the newsletter. These could be to inform parents of educational visits or alerts for head lice or thread-worm outbreaks (these letters will be red!).

Attendance Letters will be sent home where a child’s attendance is causing us concern. You will be asked to make a time to see Mrs Davies to discuss this.

Consultation – from time to time, you will be asked your opinion on things in school. Your responses can make a difference, so please do reply to these questionnaires. Recent examples of this are:

  • Changes to homework policy
  • Raising the profile of governors
  • Rewarding good behaviour
