The school is accommodated in new buildings purposefully designed to provide an excellent quality of education for the children of Worsley Mesnes. Every step has been taken to ensure that the school is resourced with the highest provision in ICT to support curriculum development and to equip children with the skills they need in the 21st century.
Children are based with a class teacher, but whenever appropriate additional support is provided and full use is made of learning resource areas to support curriculum strategies, and to accommodate extension activities for both SEN and Able and Talented pupils.

Children are grouped wherever possible in straight age classes or teaching groups. Sometimes, however, it is necessary to organise certain age groups into vertically grouped classes due to unusual numbers of pupils in the cohort. Most children are taught within a group of similar ability and work is always differentiated to match the abilities of the children, to ensure progress is sustained and is planned at the appropriate interest level for their age.
